The 74040 series is available in a standard version and an upgraded version: The standard version is suitable for typical automotive environments; the upgraded version builds on the standard version with an integrated injection-molded nut design, which improves installation and removal efficiency. It also incorporates a fully encapsulated epoxy resin process to provide single-end waterproofing, meeting IP69K waterproofing requirements. A distinct clicking sound is heard upon insertion, ensuring a quick and secure connection that meets the demands of stable power and signal transmission in harsh environments.
